Review of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing for Xbox 360 and PS3 by Protomario Tube. Duration : 7.55 Mins.

Mario Kart ripoff never looked so good. Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing is a racing game in the Sega Superstars series produced for Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS and Microsoft Windows, featuring characters from many Sega franchises. It is being published by Sega and developed by Sumo Digital. It was announced on May 28, 2009 and was released in North America on February 23, 2010 and in Europe on February 26, 2010, with the PC version available both from retail and via Steam.[6] A mobile version has been developed by Gameloft.[7] An arcade version of the game is currently being tested in some arcades as of January 2011. The game is a mascot kart racing game, very similar to other games in its genre like Mario Kart, Konami Krazy Racers and Crash Team Racing. Characters race through various race circuits themed on different Sega franchises and collect power-ups to boost their speed or hamper their opponents. The items have a rock-paper-scissors effect, in which certain items can be used to defend against others. Also, on occasions when players get three of one item, they can choose to fire/activate them at the same time. Additional boost can be earned by successfully executing drifts (with longer drifts earning more boost), or performing tricks while in midair. Like Sumo's previous Sega game, Sega Superstars Tennis, each character has a special ability (called an "All-Star Move") unique to them that they may use to their advantage (such as Sonic transforming into ...

Does the Foursquare - Facebook Places play off mean a face off is on the Horizon. Tube. Duration : 1.98 Mins.

Does the Foursquare - Facebook Places play off mean a face off is on the Horizon. Foursquare, the current market leader in Geolocation has been given a big awareness boost since the announcement of Facebook Places. According to chief executive Dennis Crowley, since the launch of Places, Foursquare saw its "biggest day ever in terms of new signups." Both are available as mobile handset applications, which make use of a phone's built-in GPS chip. Foursquare, currently the most successful has a rewards system in place with local businesses. Both services allow users to 'check in' bars, restaurants or local attractions. Users can become 'mayors' of select locations, and be reward them with free or discount goods. Facebook Places does not currently have a rewards system in place with local businesses. At present, Facebook Places only functions as a tool to let other friends within a social network know where to find you. In addition, Places has only infiltrated specific areas of the United States, Foursquare is available in locations worldwide. However, as the Places feature matures, the web world could be faced with yet another David v Goliath battle, as the 150 millioon mobile users of Facebook, dwarf the number of subscribers to the Foursquare service. In the meantime owners of pubs, clubs and hotels should take note and sign up to this new phenominon that is set to only get bigger, now Facebook is getting its act together. The Extended Mind: Recent Experimental Evidence

The Extended Mind: Recent Experimental Evidence Tube. Duration : 97.70 Mins.

Google Tech Talks September 2, 2008 ABSTRACT We have been brought up to believe that the mind is located inside the head. But there are good reasons for thinking that this view is too limited. Recent experimental results show that people can influence others at a distance just by looking at them, even if they look from behind and if all sensory clues are eliminated. And people's intentions can be detected by animals from miles away. The commonest kind of non-local interaction mental influence occurs in connection with telephone calls, where most people have had the experience of thinking of someone shortly before they ring. Controlled, randomized tests on telephone telepathy have given highly significant positive results. Research techniques have now been automated and experiments on telepathy are now being conducted through the internet and cell phones, enabling widespread participation. Speaker: Rupert Sheldrake Rupert Sheldrake, Ph.D. is a biologist and author of more than 75 technical papers and ten books, the most recent being The Sense of Being Stared At. He studied at Cambridge and Harvard Universities, was a Fellow of Clare College, Cambridge and a Research Fellow of the Royal Society. He is currently Director of the Perrott-Warrick project, funded from Trinity College Cambridge.
